Soft Horizon

Soft Horizon is a fully remodeled ranch home in Omaha, Nebraska, designed to feel immediately welcoming and personal - a true “house hug,” as our client described it. From the moment you step inside, the home balances warmth, comfort, and thoughtful functionality, creating a space that feels grounded yet full of life.

The design transforms the home to support both daily living and entertaining. The kitchen was expanded and the ceilings raised to bring in light and openness. One room was reimagined as a spacious primary bathroom, while the old bathroom became a larger, luxurious closet. The laundry room was relocated from the kitchen, improving flow and efficiency, and large windows now frame the backyard, complete with a pool and entertaining area. Every corner was considered to make the home feel intuitive, calming, and layered with personality.

Material choices were made with care, emphasizing repetition and cohesion throughout the home. Surfaces, finishes, and details appear in multiple spaces, creating subtle rhythm and visual harmony while maintaining warmth and character. The result is a home that feels personal and cohesive, a sanctuary that embraces both comfort and style.
